LONG ISLAND, NY – It’s pumpkin season on Long Island, with all the fun the fall season brings. As the annual pumpkin-picking festivities get underway, Patch has compiled a must-see list of farms where Long Islanders can go to pick pumpkins, mazes, festivals, hay rides, corn. roast, apple cider, etc.

Where to go pumpkin picking on Long Island

– 19 Horse Mill Lane in Bridgehampton.

– Fairview Farm is open for pumpkin picking on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., until the end of summer time; the hours will then be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

– The farm includes the MAiZE, an eight-acre maze.

Fink’s country farm

– 6242 Middle Country Road to Wading River.

– The Fink County Farm Festival runs Saturdays, Sundays, and Columbus Day through October 31, with times from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. slide, and more.

– Pumpkin picking is open to the public Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in October for $ 5 per person. Pumpkin picking is available on weekends, but only for those attending the Fall Festival from 9:30 am. at 5 p.m. until October 31.

Harbes Family Farm

Harbes Farm has three locations, Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck, Harbes Farm in Jamesport and Harbes Farm and Orchard in Riverhead.

The pumpkin picking takes place at:

Harbes Family Farm, 715 Sound Ave, Mattituck.

– Open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until October 31.

– 8 acres of pumpkins picked from the vines.

– Many different varieties available.

– Located in front of the Mattituck farm stand.

– Pumpkins sold by the pound.

Harbes Farms Jamesport, 1223 Main Road, Jamesport.

– Open weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until October 31.

– 9 acres of pumpkins picked from the vines.

– Many different varieties available.

– Pumpkins sold by the pound.

Harbes Orchard, 5698 Sound Ave, Riverhead

– Pumpkin patch open on weekends and holidays only from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until October 31.

– 9 acres of U-Pick pumpkins on the vine.

-Lots of different varieties available.

– Pumpkins sold by the pound.

– Requires purchase of an apple picking package to pick pumpkins.

Gabrielsen country farm

– 200 Herrick’s Lane in Jamesport.

– Gabrielsen’s is open 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. seven days a week, with pumpkin picking every day until October 31.

Hank’s PumpkinTown

– 240 Montauk Highway to Water Mill

– Hanks PumpkinTown features pumpkin picking, apple picking, corn mazes, wagon rides, tractor train rides, giant slides, games, playgrounds, duck races and more.

– Hank’s is open for pumpkin picking daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wagon rides, corn train, and jumping mat are not available on weekdays other than holidays

Helen’s Pumpkin Farm

– 1061 Union Ave., Aquebogue

– Pumpkin picking, apple picking, corn maze seven days a week; the farm kiosk is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., all amenities are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Columbus Day weekend, makeup. The farm stand is open on weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with all attractions open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

– U-Pick pumpkins, vegetables. Hayrides and a haunted corn maze on October weekends.

– Lewin’s offers U-Pick Pumpkins, Corn Maze on weekends and holidays through the end of October, Grilled Corn and more.

Stakey Pumpkin Farm

– 270 West Lane to Aquebogue

– Stakey’s is open for pumpkin picking on Mondays. on Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

– Pets are not allowed.

– The farm also features hay walks, corn maze, arm painting, snack shack, country store and flower house, toasted corn, apple cider, and donuts.

Wickham Fruit Farm

– Picking pumpkins in the vineyard with a hand cart on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until October. Close on Sunday.

– Farmstand, where pumpkins are also available, is open Monday through Saturday 9am to 5pm. Close on Sunday.

– Bottles of apple cider for kids are available for purchase for kids, as well as delicious donuts. Close on Sunday.

– Wickham’s Fruit Farm is a historic bicentennial farm on Peconic Bay, and a family business for generations.

Benner’s farm

– 56 Gnarled Hollow Road in East Setauket.

– Benner’s is open for pumpkin picking on Saturdays and Sundays of Columbus Day weekend only, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

– The Brightwaters Farms “Fall Harvest” begins October 2nd and ends October 31st. Open Wednesday to Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and Columbus Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Elwood Pumpkin Farm

– The 1500 E. Jericho toll motorway in Huntington. No credit cards accepted.

– Elwood Pumpkin Farm is open for pumpkin picking on weekends and Columbus Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

– Wagon rides and a corn maze are open on weekends for children.

– Glover Farms is open for pumpkin picking from October 2 to the end of October from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays; Saturdays, Sundays and Columbus Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The farm also has a corn maze.

Family farm F&W Schmitt

– 26, chemin Pinelawn, Melville.

– The F&W Schmitt family farm is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until October 31 for its annual fall festival. Guests can enjoy hay rides, farm animals, photo ops, sunflower picking, pumpkin carts, mini golf, playground, pony rides, daytime corn maze and haunted mansion walk. Picking pumpkins every day. Daytime corn maze, pony rides, petting zoo, grilled corn, and concession stand are only on weekends.

White post farms
– 250, chemin Old Country in Melville.

– Celebrate its annual fall festival on weekends until the end of October – and 30 years of fun. Activities include cart rides, pumpkin picking, an animal farm, and painting your own pumpkins. Also enjoy five great shows, including The Dominguez Poodles, The Pompeyo Dog Show, The Agri-Puppets, Kids Celebration Game Show and The Magic of Jim McClenahan. In between activities, stop at the fall food stalls.

The festival takes place on weekends and Columbus Day until October 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. stay until 6 p.m.
