Iain Stirling’s Perfect Sunday in NW6
11am: walk the dog
Sundays start slowly. I walk my maltipoo, Mick Jagger, through Queen’s Park. There are no hills so if you have a hangover or like me you’re not in great shape that’s great.
Noon: a dose of falafel
Queen’s Park Café prepares these amazing falafel wraps. You have to wait a bit to get one but it’s worth it. I get pickles, tahini sauce, lettuce – anything but tomatoes because I hate the texture.
5 p.m .: Hydrate
There is nothing better than a cold, sparkling pint in the sun. The volume is also very important. At Alice House, I always know what I’m going to get: a perfect pint of Beavertown. The taste is nothing special, but I love watching them pull the pints because it has the coolest beer pump ever, with a little alien on it.
6 p.m .: Sushi stop
Next, I head to Kiyoto Sushi in West Hampstead. My favorite order is the black cod served in a nice thick miso broth.
10 p.m .: TV and delicacies
I’m watching ‘Mare of Easttown’ right now and will be ordering Little Moons mochi. They are the nicest thing you will ever taste.
