County-by-county look at COVID-19 in Virginia; which areas had the largest spikes Friday, June 10, 2022

RICHMOND, Va. — The Health Department reported that an additional 20,114 people tested positive for COVID-19 out of 87,059 PCR tests processed over the past week. This brings the total number of coronavirus cases in Virginia to 1,817,814.

According to Friday’s update, 52,212 (+288 compared to the previous Friday) people had been hospitalized and 20,441 (+17) people had died from illnesses related to COVID-19, according to updated data from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH).
